Avondale FC Welcomes Gulcan Genitsaris as New Community Engagement Manager

Gulcan brings over a decade of experience in community sport, youth programs, and inclusive engagement to her new role as Community Engagement Manager at Avondale FC. With a background in sport and recreation management, and leadership roles at Melbourne Victory FC, Gulcan has successfully designed and delivered programs that empower women, CALD communities, and newly arrived youth through football. She is known for her passion for grassroots development, building strong partnerships, and creating safe, inclusive spaces that bring people together.

A skilled program manager and coach with an FFA/AFC B License, Gulcan has led impactful initiatives from MiniRoos to multicultural tournaments, all with a focus on access, wellbeing, and connection. She is excited to be part of Avondale FC’s leadership team and looks forward to deepening community ties and supporting the club’s vision to elevate opportunities for women and girls.
