Avondale Football Club has a clear direction when it comes to the club’s overall philosophy. This direction focuses heavily on youth development and becoming one of the best developers of football in the nation. Our ambitions are set very high with what we want to achieve and that is to develop players for our Socceroos and Matildas that play consistently in the top five leagues in the world.
By drawing on many influences around the world and specifically professional football academies, we believe that we can and will implement a program that closely mirrors and innovates the world’s best practice.
A clear and effective plan, we will see no overnight success but rather focus on the long-term plan, that will be a minimum of 10-years. By this time, we would expect to see players developed to the highest level on a consistent basis year in, year out. We expect to be the bench mark of producing talented footballers here in Australia.
Not only will we have the privilege of producing talented young footballers and people, but it will add to the long-term stability of the club itself. The minimum standard we would expect to develop is those young players playing for the Avondale Football Club first-team.
A document effectively named ‘The Blueprint’ based on the Avondale Blue will be a constant reference point to ensure we continue with our same philosophy, same objectives, and same goals, knowing that it is a long-term plan, and that we are to not be led astray should the going get difficult.
It is not an easy plan, as no success has ever come easy, but we will endeavour to make sure that all our effort and commitment from the club is put into developing world-class players and be at the forefront of innovation and progression in this area. It is what the club will pride itself on.
