We are champions!

Our senior women’s team have clinched the State League 4 West championship after defeating Sunbury United 7-0 on Sunday!

Avondale’s 14th-straight win gives them an unassailable lead on top of the table with three rounds left to play. 

After netting back-to-back hat tricks in the two previous games, Sophia Iosofidis scored twice for the Avengers while Sarah Lia, Ariane Mcleod, Sally O’Brien, Nicole Scarpino and Ella Van Zuijlen also finding the back of the net.

With the championship stitched up Avondale will still be out to finish the season unbeaten, with games against Barnstoneworth United and West Point SC still to come.
