Avondale FC is proud to announce that Michael Pichner has taken over the role as the club’s youth technical director.
Michael has over 20 years of coaching experience, including involvement in the NSL Youth League, W League, NTC (Women’s) and Victorian Junior teams.
He was U21s head coach at Sunshine George Cross, Heidelberg United U20s head coach and since 2015 held the position of technical director at Heidelberg.
Michael has a Bachelor of Applied Science (Physical Education), Graduate Diploma in Education and a Graduate Diploma in Education Administration.
He currently holds a Football Federation Australia B Licence and has and still is involved in coach education and assessing for Football Victoria.
In his full-time role, Michael has been a health and physical education teacher for 35 years, with leadership experience as head of physical education and head of sport.
Michael more recently held a leadership position as head of college development and marketing and is currently employed as a community engagement officer and health physical education teacher. As part of this role, Michael has been head of the school soccer academy program for the past eight years.
