INSIDE AVONDALE – Issue 03.

COMMUNITY EVENTS WITH GULCAN

We have continued our engagement with local schools across Ascot Vale and Parkville, delivering free soccer clinics for students of all ages and abilities.

These sessions aim to provide young players with the opportunity to develop their skills, stay active, and connect with the local football community.

If your school is interested in having Avondale FC attend and run a FREE football clinic, please contact our Community Engagement Manager, Gulcan Genitsaris, for more information. gulcang@avondalefc.com.au

JUNIORS WITH GERMANO

Over the past month, our junior teams have focused on improving their attacking play in the final third. The hard work on the training pitch translated into match-day performances, with an increase in goals scored and clear signs of progress across the group.

The players continue to develop their confidence and decision-making in attacking situations, and we look forward to building on these improvements in the coming weeks.

JUNIORS WITH STEFAN VALENTINI

Our focus has been on developing our attack and breaking opposition lines to progress effectively into the final third.

The players have shown great improvement in their composure in possession and their ability to play through pressure.

A special mention goes to Flo from the U13s, who earned the opportunity to play up in the U15s and performed exceptionally well.

SENIOR WOMEN

We are excited to announce several key additions to our Senior Women’s squad over the past few weeks:

• Taylor Ray – joining from Melbourne Victory (A-League Women)

• Ellie Wilson – joining from Melbourne City (A-League Women)

• Aideen Keane – joining from Melbourne City (A-League Women). Many of our members will also know Aideen through her coaching role within our Junior Girls NPL program.

• Teodora Djuric – joining from Heidelberg United

We welcome all four players to Avondale FC and look forward to their contributions throughout the remainder of the season.

SENIOR MEN

Congratulations to Morgan Holt and Dylan Atanasovski, who have both taken an exciting step in their football journeys by earning their place in the Senior Men’s squad.

After consistently training with the senior group and continuing to develop within the club, both players have now had a stint in the senior matchday squad.

Their inclusion is a proud moment and a reflection of their hard work, dedication, and commitment to taking every opportunity in front of them.
