Coming off the back of our first win at our new home in Avenger Park, Avondale FC traveled to the south-east to take on Oakleigh Cannons FC.
For the first time in the club’s history, Avondale FC is entering the national stage of the FFA Cup competition and is down to the last 32 teams in the nation competing for the national prize.
After a loss in our first official league game at Avenger Park, it was a chance for a club to get a win with the official launch of Avenger Park where we took on Dandenong Thunder SC.
After a hard-fought loss against Port Melbourne Sharks SC the week prior, it was an opportunity to bounce back against FC Bulleen Lions on Saturday afternoon.
On Saturday 23 June, Avondale FC opened their newly renovated doors to be the newest football venue in NPL Victoria.

It was a midweek fixture that would be the next task for Avondale FC, as the qualifying final against Heidelberg United FC would see the winner go into the semi-finals of the Dockerty Cup. After round fifteen’s loss against Kingston City FC, round 16 was an opportunity to bounce back in NPL Victoria as we took to the pitch against Hume City FC.
A big week for the football club after making a great start to the second half of the season, but it would need to continue against a mid-season strengthened Kingston City FC.
